EL BLOG DE PAKITO May 29, 2008

Alberto Contador’s good friend Paco is a lucky man. He gets to go to Alberto’s races, then shares his experiences at his fantastic blog, EL BLOG DE PAKITO.

Paco has been at the Giro for several days with Alberto’s brother Francisco and their friend Patricio. They were at Plan de Corones on Monday and saw Alberto’s amazing time trial performance.

He writes that Alberto was super happy about the TT, but is still cautious and keeping a cool head, since the stages this Friday and Saturday will be really hard.

“Fran, Patricio, and I are really happy, watching this Giro is spectacular. The mountains in the Giro are much harder than in the Tour,” says Paco.

“The Italians are incredibly nice, and they say to Contador they want very much for Contador to be Il Grande Vincitore del Giro.”

Paco is staying Italy until the race comes home to Milan on Sunday. We’re excited about reading his reports, and relaying them to English-speakers at the The Alberto Contador Notebook.

Go to EL BLOG DE PAKITO to read Paco’s adventures in Spanish. You’ll find photos of Alberto, his friends and family, and a chat box where you can say hi. It’s a great way to get to know more about Alberto, brought to you by one of the people who knows him best.

Very nice, thanks for the brilliant work here and at Chechu’s site!!!
Hope to see Alberto in Pink in Milan, hopefully he will survive the next two brutal stages!
Cheers, Bambi :)

Thanks so much for the links to Pakito’s blog! I’m so glad he was there for Alberto. I really felt for him on the Marmolada with NO idea what was happening in the race!

What a good friend he is for Alberto. …and vice versa. :)
